The "Blue Mosque" is Kota Kinabalu City Mosque (Masjid Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu) while the beach in golden sunset photo is Tanjung Aru Beach also Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort Beach.

Photo above and below was taken at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort beach area. The overall view gives you a feeling of visiting Hawaii or Fiji island although you are here at Kota Kinabalu. The feeling is quite the same.

Photo below show you the "Blue Mosque" which is the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque. This place is a popular tourist attraction especially among Korean and Chinese tourist because of its beautiful scenery around it.

There is a man made lake around the lake and beautiful bay view at the front section of the mosque. "Blue Mosque" is a floating mosque located at Likas Bay are, only several meters from the beach of Tanjung Lipat Public Beach.

When you travel to Kota Kinabalu, don't forget to visit "Blue Mosque" and Tanjung Aru Beach especially at evening time before sunset.

Sunset view at Tanjung Aru Beach is so beautiful especially during good weather. After that you can also try the Coral Flyer Zipline from Gaya Island to Sapi Island or visiting Pink Mosque at UMS (Universiti Malaysia Sabah). Photo credits: hwony37

Kota Kinabalu Travel - At Sipadan Enforcement Point. This is a photo of a tourist standing in front of Sipadan island enforcement point run by Malaysian military team. The word "RAMD" you see on the white sand is short for "Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja" (means Royal Malay Military Force).

Mabul Resort So Beautiful


Kota Kinabalu Travel - Mabul Resort So Beautiful. Mabul resort is popular holiday destination at Semporna, which is about 500++ kilometer outside Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Resort location is about several hundred meters outside Mabul Island, Malaysia.

You can see beautiful view of Celebes Sea from here, enjoying hot sun and the soft breeze wind while forgetting about everything else other than enjoying life at remote island.

Mabul resort is so beautiful. Staying here for only one day feels like not enough! The area is so clean and the sea water is very clear too.

You can see the bottom of sea water even though the depts is about 5 to 9 meters from the surface. They said Mabul resort is the hidden Maldives of Malaysia. It is so true.

Kota Kinabalu Travel - Going Into Mabul Island. For you info, Mabul island is not located at Kota Kinabalu. It is located at Semporna which is 9.5 hours to reach by land bus.

To reach Mabul Island you will need to go to Tawau by air (usually by using Air Asia flight or MASWings flight) then travel to Semporna town by bus or by chartered car.

When you reach Semporna town you will need to travel by boat to Mabul island. The journey from Semporna town to Mabul Island will take about 30 to 50 minutes depending on weather condition.

Mabul Island populated by Bajau people from Palauh tribe, which also called as sea gypsy. Most of them are Muslim.

Mabul is center activity of Sipadan National Park which combines Mabul Island, Sipadan Island and Kapalai. Mabul Island is famous for scuba diving, family trip and snorkeling activities.

This is the view of Kota Kinabalu city from the boat on the way to city center after finishing island tour at Manukan island. Boat ride takes only 15 minutes from Manukan island to Jesselton Point jetty at city center.
